Financial Advisor (FA) Magazine recently published its RIA Survey & Ranking report for 2018, for the second year in a row naming Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC (WST) among the 100 largest RIAs ranked in the report. A Norfolk, Virginia-based asset management firm serving taxable, institutional and intermediary clients, WST was also recently ranked by Pensions & Investments in their 45th annual Largest Money Manager Special Report.

FA's list comprised a ranking based on assets under management (AUM) of 707 total RIAs, 275 of which managed $1 billion or more in assets. The report involved analysis of RIAs' AUM levels as of year-end 2017, as well as growth from 2016 to 2017, based on discretionary and non-discretionary AUM as reported in regulatory filings. The broader report included insights gathered from a voluntary survey of RIA firms.

WST deeply values the client relationships and strategic partnerships that have enabled growth and positioned the firm for recognition by FA Magazine. For more information on the rankings, please visit FA Magazine’s RIA Survey & Ranking 2018 report.
